That sounds like your /Desktop/Embrio/ApplicationConfiguration.txt got messed up some how. When Embrio is closed, delete that file, then open it again. It'll make a new fresh copy when it opens.
Let me know if that fixes it or not. If not could you post a screenshot with the messages tab opened on the bottom with errors showing?
